Henschel D 600

As the designation D 600 suggests, the Henschel locomotive of this type had the UIC wheel arrangement D (0-8-0) and an output of around 600 hp. It was a development of the type “Essen” offered in the thirties and was rated with an actual output of around 640 hp. Between 1946 and 1954, a total of 53 were delivered only to private operators in the producing and mining industry. Of nine which have been preserved, two are still in working order.
