The ABDeh 8/8 is a multiple unit of the Bernese Oberland Railway for mixed rack and adhesion operation. Each of the six units contains of three cars, standing on a total of four powered bogies. For flexible operation in times of high and low demand, they are equipped with automatic couplers.
Additionally, three articulated cab cars were newly built and five existing ones were upgraded for use with the ABDeh 8/8. Each of these consists of three cars with a total of four bogies, with a cab on one end. Each of the multiple units has enough power to operate with one articulated cab car at each end.
