Southern Railway (USA) class F-14

The first ten F-14 class locomotives were the successors to the class F-12 and were built from the end of 1902. They had a wide firebox that was situated above the driving wheels. From June 1903, 28 more locomotives were built of a variant in which the drivers had been reduced from 72 to 68 inches. Later, only three received a superheater, becoming the class Fs-14. Despite this, the service life of the F-14 only ended between 1933 and 1948.
