Interstate No. 1 to 3

The Interstate Railroad, still operating today, is a shortline operator in the southwest of Virginia. It starts on the Clinchfield Railroad's Miller Yard and runs into several valleys. It operated three Consolidations built by Baldwin which had cylinders of 21 by 26 inches and drivers of 50 inches. No. 1 was built in September 1906 with the works number 29136. No. 3 followed in December 1907 with works number 32469. In contrast to these two, their second No. 2 was originally built for the East Roaring Forks as their No. 2. It was completed in March 1911 with works number 36275 and sold to the Interstate Railroad in 1920. All three were retired in 1953.
