Chinese Steam Locomotives

div:CR_QJ:In the last stand of mainline steam a pair of mighty Chinese QJ 2-10-2s struggle up the final stretch to the summit of Jingpeng Pass. It’s seriously cold but the frigid air produces a valiant display of exhaust as the engines are silhouetted against an Inner Mongolian snowfield. Scanned Kodachrome taken in about 2002.
