German Reichsbahn H 17 206
Germany | 1925 | only one produced

This high-pressure locomotive was created on the initiative of the director of the Schmidt superheater company from a Prussian S 102 that the Reichsbahn had made available for this purpose. The firebox was traversed by pipes in which distilled water circulated at 90 bars. The high-pressure cylinder was operated at 60 bars and the low-pressure cylinder received 14 bars. Since the expense of this conversion was not worth it compared to the extra power, the locomotive was restored to its original condition in 1929.
