The IranRunner is a diesel-electric locomotive designed by Siemens for the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways. Technically it is similar to the EuroRunner ER20, but its body design resembles the Vectron and it only has one cab. It is powered by a more powerful variant of the MTU 16V 4000, delivering 2,400 kW or 3,320 hp. With a top speed of 160 km/h, it is being used for passenger service, also double-headed with both locomotives coupled back to back. The first 30 were delivered in 2010 by Siemens in Germany and 120 more were built by MAPNA in Iran.
