In 1921 ALCO-GE built twelve electric locomotives for the Paulista of which four were designed for passenger traffic. While the freight locomotives only had two powered two-axle bogies, the passenger locomotives had a two-axle leading bogie at each end. Since the body was not made longer in this version, it had large open platforms on both ends. They had the same traction motors with a continuous output of 400 hp each, but here they had a modified gear ratio that allowed a top speed of 100 km/h. Top speed in service was 85 km/h. They could haul a 400-tonne train up an one percent incline with 62.5 km/h. On delivery they carried the numbers 200 to 203, but were later renumbered to 300 to 303. When FEPASA was founded in 1971, they became class 6300 and were withdrawn between 1974 and 1976.

In 1921 ALCO-GE built twelve electric locomotives for the Paulista of which eight were designed for freight traffic. The first line that had been electrified with 3 kV DC was the one between Jundiahy and Campinas that was 45 km long and had inclines of 1.8 percent. The main reason for electrification was that fire wood for steam locomotives had become scarce and good coal was difficult to obtain.

The freight locomotives had two two-axle bogies with a 420 hp traction motor on each axle and a boxcab body that led to the nickname “Quadradinha”. Haulage capacity on 1.8 percent inclines was 700 tonnes at speeds between 19 and 26 km/h. When running downhill, they could use their regenerative brake. Originally numbered 204 to 211, they were later renumbered to 401 to 408. When FEPASA was founded in 1971, they became class 6400. They were withdrawn between 1974 and 1978.

Starting in 1921, Baldwin-Westinghouse supplied two types of electric locomotives to the Companhia Paulista. Two of the passenger variant with the wheel arrangement 1-B+B-1 were delivered in 1921 and were numbered 212 and 213. In contrast to the C-C freight variant with six traction motors, each powered axle of the passenger variant had a twin motor with quill drive. This explains why 212 and 213 had more power than 214 and 215.

A third passenger locomotive was delivered in 1925 and numbered 216. Up to two of them could operate in multiple. Later the Paulista renumbered them 310 to 312. When Fepasa was founded in 1971, they received the numbers 6311 to 6313. At this time, they had already been designated mixed service locomotives since they were not fast or powerful enough anymore for pure passenger service. One was withdrawn in April 1977 and the two others in October 1983.
