Mr Snrub

In 1868 Rogers delivered five 4-4-0 locomotives to the Union Pacific, of which number 119 achieved great fame. When the gap on the First Transcontinental Railroad was closed on May 10, 1869, it was the locomotive that was brought by the Union Pacific, together with its Vice President, Thomas C. Durant, to the Promontory Summit in Utah. It took part in the ceremony there together with the Central Pacific's “Jupiter”, from which a famous photograph exists. In 1979 a replica was built by O'Connor Engineering Laboratories and it still exists today. So far there is only a short text for this vehicle. In the future it will be described in more detail.
