Of seven Shays operated by R. Connor & Co. of Marathon County, Wisconsin, two were of the two-truck 42-ton class. They were built in 1919 with works number 3039 and in 1920 with works number 3121. With an actual recorded empty weight of 75,700 and 76,200 pounds and an estimated service weight in excess or 90,000 pounds, they were among the heavier, later members of the 42-ton class. They were operated as Marathon County Railway numbers 4 and 15, but from June of 1928 the company was called Connor Land & LumberCompany. They were stored out of service in 1934.
