In 1909, the Columbian National Railway received three Kitson-Meyer locomotives for use on the Girardot line. Their works numbers were 4671 to 4673. In most respects they similar to other locomotives delivered to other South American railways in the 1890s and early 1900s. They rode on two three-axle bogies, both with two 14 by 18 inch cylinders on the rear. The drivers had a diameter of only 2 feet and 10 3/4 inches.
On the level, they could theoretically haul 2,750 tons. But as the Girardot had an altitude difference of more than 2,000 metres, they had actually been designed for steep grades. So they were rated for 719 tons at one percent and 185 tons at four percent. Later the three locomotives became Ferrocarril de Cundinamarca No. 9 to 11. The withdrawal years for all locomotives are difficult to obtain, but it is known that the second one was withdrawn in 1953,
