As the designation D 600 suggests, the Henschel locomotive of this type had the UIC wheel arrangement D (0-8-0) and an output of around 600 hp. It was a development of the type “Essen” offered in the thirties and was rated with an actual output of around 640 hp. Between 1946 and 1954, a total of 53 were delivered only to private operators in the producing and mining industry. Of nine which have been preserved, two are still in working order. So far there is only a short text for this vehicle. In the future it will be described in more detail.
