The 2GS16B-AU is a genset locomotive developed by NRE for Australian customer Pacific National. As its designation suggests, it has two engines with a total output of 1,600 hp and two two-axle trucks. Its owner numbered them PB1 to PB7 and used them in the Port Kembla Steelworks. When they were introduced in 2014, they replaced old English Electric locomotives from the sixties and seventies. In the meantime, they have been sold to Watco, an American company that also provides freight services in Australia.
