The class E of Queensland Railways was a 2-6-0 locomotive built by several manufacturers between 1874 and 1882. The biggest number was built by Kitson with twelve. Six were built by Dübs, three by Avonside and two each by Neilson and the QR's North Ipswich Workshops. From 1890, they were designated class B12. Most were withdrawn by July 1929. Only No. 31 had been bought by the Aramac Tramway in 1911 which used it until 1939. Today only remains of this one and two others are existing, but no complete locomotive.
