Works number 2675 of W.G. Bagnall was a small 0-6-0T tank locomotive with a gauge of 800 mm or 2 ft 7 1/2 in. It had been ordered by Frank Ross & Co. for plantation work on the St. Antoine Estate in Port Louis, Mauritius. The same design was offered to a number of customers, with the option to modify several dimensions. Its drivers measured slightly less than two feet and the cylinders had a diameter of 8 1/2 inches and a stroke of 12 inches. The chimney was fitted with spark arresting apparatus to reduce the fire risk an plantations. With full supplies the locomotive weighed ten and a half tons.
