Locomotives No. 103 and 104 originally built for Silver Falls Lumber in Oregon were two 2-6-2ST saddle tanks which spent nearly all of their career together. While 103 was built in 1922 by Baldwin with works number 55482, 104 followed only four years later with works number 59137. They were oil burners which carried a total of 1,800 gallons of water and 750 gallons of oil. The drivers had a diameter of 44 inches and the cylinders measured 17 inches in diameter and 24 inches in stroke. Weight in working order was 134,500 pounds of which 105,000 rested on the drivers.
When Silverton Mill closed in 1938, they were stored in this place and only went to a seller in Portland in 1949. Their new owner who kept their running numbers unchanged was the Peninsula Terminal Company. There they replaced two 0-6-0 in switching service in yards in west Portland. After they were withdrawn in 1966, they were bought by the Black Hills Central Railroad in South Dakota to haul tourist trains. 103 is currently waiting to be rebuilt and 104 has been finally retired in 2019.
